Allergy Playbook is an independent website with practical, plain-language guides for people who live with allergies and asthma, and for the families who support them.
Why this site exists
Allergies affect daily life in ways a short doctor’s visit cannot always cover: which pillow cover to buy, how to plan a trip, what to tell a child’s school, how to clean without making symptoms worse. We write guides for those everyday questions, season by season, including for people who stay active and play sports.
How we create and update content
- Sources first. Medical facts come from medical societies, government health agencies and published research, and we link to them in the article.
- Plain language. We write for a general reader and explain any medical term we use.
- Regular reviews. We update guides when guidance changes or when a reader points out an error.
- Corrections. If you spot a mistake, tell us. We review every correction request.
Advertising and products
Allergy Playbook is supported by advertising. Ads are served by Google and are kept separate from our articles; advertisers do not choose or review what we write. When we mention a product, it is because it is relevant to the topic, not because we were paid to include it.
Important: this is not medical advice
Our guides are for general education. They do not replace a diagnosis or treatment plan from your doctor or allergist. If you think you or someone near you is having a severe allergic reaction, call your local emergency number right away. Read our full medical disclaimer.
